Les Mann
Les Mann – Phi Lambda Chapter – University of Washington, 1973
Les attended the University of Washington on an NROTC scholarship, eventually serving as the Battalion Commander.
Initiated in 1970, he served the chapter as Alpha Phi, and Phi.
Upon graduation in 1973 Les was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy serving four years and qualifying as a Surface Warfare Officer, earning a National Defense Ribbon, and Vietnam Service Medal.
Completing his active duty obligation in 1977 Les began his business career as a sales rep for American Hospital Supply, eventually being promoted to an Area Vice President. His corporate career went on to include senior leadership positions at Visa, Marriott, Virtual Radiologic, US Oncology and finally serving as Senior Vice President for Sales and Service at Oncology Services International.
After retiring in 2015, Les has continued to serve in board positions at both Zeta Psi Educational Foundation, and Saving Teens in Crisis Collaborative, a charity he co-founded in 2006.
His Elder career within Zeta Psi included service on both the Fraternity Executive Committee and the Foundation Board of Trustees. Key positions included Gamma Alpha, Alpha Phi Alpha and ultimately Phi Alpha. Les’ years on the board included leadership roles in launching the Honor Campaign to eradicate hazing, chairperson for drafting the FRMT Action Plan launched as Zete Forward, faculty member for the Kirby Leadership Conference, and chairperson for multiple committees over the years.
Les and his bride Susan married in 1978 and have one son, Jimmy, and one grandson Daxton. Spare time activity includes hiking, golf and pickleball. In the Summer he teaches sailing for Northern Breezes Sailing School on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota. Their primary residence is Scottsdale, Arizona.
