William C. Prescott

William C. Prescott, Kappa, 1871, Phi Alpha 1873-1874

William C. Prescott, Kappa, 1871, was a respected attorney and community leader in Herkimer, New York.  He practiced law with Abram B. Steele in Herkimer and served as president of the Village in 1898. He was elected a member of the New York State Legislature from Herkimer County (1893-1894). Brother Prescott served as president of the Herkimer Y.M.C.A. and treasurer of the Herkimer Library.

Prescott was also very active in the Mason Fraternity and served as Grand Marshall of
the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. He was an active member and officer of the
Zeta Psi Club of New York for many years.
