Colonel George Woodbury Bunnell Jr., Iota, 1895, United States Military Academy 1899,, was an accomplished military officer, banker and engineer.
Brother Bunnell commanded the 101 st Engineers with offensive and defensive engagements in ten sectors during World War I. In civilian life, he was treasurer of the J.G. White Company in New York; Vice President in charge of engineering and construction for the President Power Construction Company in Worcester, Massachusetts and Resident Representative of the West India Sugar Finance Company in Santo Domingo and West Indies.
Brother Bunnell was a member of the Zeta Psi Club, the Engineers Club and Sons of the Revolution in New York. His father, George W. Bunnell, was a Professor of Greek Language and Literature at the University of California (1872-1893) and in 1928, his sons and daughter dedicated a marble chair in the Greek Theatre at the University in his memory.
