Clarence H. DeLong

Clarence H. DeLong, Alpha Epsilon, 1920, Phi Alpha 1964-1966

Clarence H. DeLong, Alpha Epsilon, 1920, was a successful insurance agent and broker and anchor of the Alpha Epsilon chapter’s elder association for decades. As an undergraduate, he was a member of the University’s band.

Brother DeLong operated the DeLong Insurance Agency in Champaign for more than
forty years. He was a Trustee of the First Christian Church in Champaign for many
years.

Within Zeta Psi, Brother DeLong was an influence not only on his own chapter, but also
surrounding chapters. The Tau Gamma chapter at Purdue University annually presents the Clarence H. DeLong Award for Devoted Service to Zeta Psi.
