U.S. Scholarship Program Impact – Spring 2026
This Spring semester, the Zeta Psi Educational Foundation continued its commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of our undergraduate brothers in a meaningful way. Through the generosity of our donors, the Foundation awarded 110 scholarships to deserving students from a highly competitive pool of more than 185 applications.
In total, over $71,000 was distributed, with an average award of $650 per recipient . These numbers reflect not just the scale of the program, but the breadth of its impact across our Brotherhood. As a reminder, our Fall Scholarship program awarded 119 scholarships totalling in excess of $65,000, for a combined yearly total of over $136,000 in financial support.
Behind each award is a student balancing academic rigor, chapter leadership, and personal growth—often while navigating financial pressures . For many, these scholarships provide stability at key moments in their undergraduate experience, helping ensure that financial considerations do not limit their ability to fully engage in Zeta Psi or their academic pursuits.
One of the most impactful elements of the program is the role of chapter-designated and purpose-driven funds, which accounted for more than 60% of all scholarship dollars awarded this year. These funds allow support to be directed in ways that reflect the unique needs and priorities of individual chapters.
Across Zeta Psi, chapters are leveraging these funds in thoughtful and meaningful ways. For some, scholarships from chapter-designated funds help support new members as they transition into university life, offsetting initial costs such as initiation fees and easing the financial pressures that can come with living away from home for the first time. This support allows new brothers to focus more fully on their academics and integration into the chapter experience.
In other cases, scholarship recipients use this support to contribute more broadly within their chapters by helping alleviate shared financial obligations such as insurance or operational costs. In doing so, these scholarships not only benefit individual recipients, but also strengthen the chapter as a whole.
My life at NYU is always busy, but the work I do for the Phi chapter is always a breath of fresh air amidst the swell and turmoil of New York City. For me, receiving this scholarship allows me to pay my dues and help my parents pay for Manhattan rent, which better frees me up and invigorates me to give more and more energy to my chapter. What more, I could write full memoirs about how necessary the Phi-specific scholarship is to our operation. Between the lack of Greek Life support at NYU and our housing insecurity, our chapter scholarship program, semester after semester, is the push we need to remain operational and active as an on-campus fraternity. Without it, and all other scholarships and donations, I do not know where [we] would be, or if we would be at all.”

While this year’s program reflects significant impact, the level of demandcontinues to highlight how meaningful this support is for our undergraduate brothers . Each application underscores the realities many students face in managing both financial pressures and the full undergraduate experience.
Chapter-designated and restricted funds continue to play an important role in shaping that impact, connecting the generosity of our alumni and supporters directly to the experiences of today’s students.
