When Sam graduated from Cornell, he initially started a career in asset management and investments. Working primarily in the technology sector, Sam focused on mergers and acquisitions at Lazard before becoming a tech analyst at Perry Capital. Despite being very happy in his career, Sam, along with fellow Psi brother Chris Yeung, decided to risk it all and embark on their own start-up journey. The result of said journey was Vimbly – a service allowing users to find the best classes, events or activities in New York City.

Since then, Vimbly has expanded to dozens of other cities and has grown to a size of nearly 40 employees.
