The Zeta Psi Foundation of Canada was launched December, 1969 by the late James H. McLaughlin, Theta Xi ‘52 who also served as Phi Alpha of the fraternity and President of the North America Intrafraternity Conference along with Brothers Richard E. Parr, Pi Epsilon ’56 and George H. Trimm, Alpha Psi ’55. The Canadian Educational Foundation was established to allow Canadian Zetes to make tax-deductible donations toward furthering education for our Active members. Lately, Canadian tuition as well as room and board run at $20,000 to start (add books and incidentals on top of that). Given these costs, try to put yourself in the Actives’ shoes. It is difficult to find employment that will cover even a third of these expenses. This is where you can help.

The Zeta Psi Foundation of Canada needs your help to achieve record-breaking results this year. The need is strong and growing. Zeta Psi is achieving new levels of success. We now have chapters nation-wide at Dalhousie (Alpha Mu), McGill (Alpha Psi), Queen’s (Theta Psi), U of Ontario Institute of Technology (Tau Theta) at Oshawa, U of Toronto (Theta Xi), Brock U (Theta Eta) St. Catharines, Western (Theta Phi) London, ON, U of Calgary (Chi Gamma), U of Alberta (Mu Theta) Edmonton and U of British Columbia (Sigma Epsilon) Vancouver.

I am pleased to serve as Chair of the Foundation. Although you may already contribute to Zeta Psi by volunteering on committees or by attending chapter functions, we’re asking you to take your support up a level by assisting worthy young Zetes to complete their education.

Beat the tax man. Taking advantage of this tax year by considering a gift of $500, $1,000, $5,000 or whatever you can afford prior to December 31st. You will receive a tax receipt for the full amount and you will be helping to support tomorrow’s leaders today.

Sincerely in Tau Kappa Phi,

J. Corey Nicholson
