John S Lee (Alpha Theta ’07) is founding brother of Alpha Theta who has worked tirelessly help Zeta Psi thrive in the Waterloo region in Canada.

John is an experienced Innovator with over 250 patent fillings in the areas of e-commerce, Mobile technology, User Interfaces, Financial Technology, and Blockchain technology. He works tirelessly to push the limit of various technology verticals, and he also works to provides concise analysis of the state of the art to provide insights to the future of technology. In his current roles as Innovation Engineer at Shopify, John is responsible to identify, capture, and protect innovations across Shopify’s ecosystem. John spent 12 years at the forefront of technical innovation, John is a co-author of the European Mandate 376 defining Accessibility Standards in Public Procurement, he is currently a vice-chair of ISO NC307 (Blockchain and Distributed Ledge Technology).

John is currently a member of the 78th Fraser Highlander Regiment who has a goal of supporting military members by supporting the training of service dogs for veterans, and providing scholarships to undergraduate students serving in the Canadian Forces. John is also a member of the Order of St Joachim, and the Order of St Lazarus as part of his charitable work.
