40 under 40 — Brandon Rubadou
Pi Tau, 2012 — Recognized in: 2020
Brandon Rubadou grew up in Massachusetts and Upstate New York, and attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute as an Electrical and Computer Engineering major. Though he initially had no interest in joining a fraternity, Brandon was introduced to Zeta Psi through a few members of the WPI Rugby team. The bond between those teammates was powerful, and Brandon realized it went far beyond a rugby pitch.
“I pledged during what felt like one of the most turbulent years of Pi Tau’s history, but we had a house full of strong leaders that pulled us through and served as great role models for me. Over the years, I served in several house positions as an undergrad, and was privileged to spend a summer living and working with other Zetes from around the world as an intern at IHQ. I attended my first convention at that time and was sufficiently hooked.
Since graduating in 2012, I’ve been proud to watch Pi Tau attain continued success and progress, while holding alumni leadership positions along the way. My first manager after school ended was a Zete, which made for a perfect transition from education to career. Since then, I’ve been surrounded by brothers at every step of my career, even if purely by coincidence.”
Brandon currently lives in Sharon, MA and works as a Systems Engineer at Dell Technologies, designing data center solutions for financial services enterprises in the Boston area. Brandon also works in real estate on the side. He credits Zeta Psi for many of the project management, communication, and organizational skills that he relies on in both his personal and professional lives.
“To this day, my closest friends are Zetes. The challenges and successes we experienced as undergraduates are at the core of many of those relationships. As a reminder to younger Zetes: don’t forget that there’s something to learn from every one of our brothers. Be curious; you never know where a simple conversation could take you.”
