Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Fraternity’s Statement on DEI
As Zeta Psi continues its historic expansion across the North American continent and overseas, our brotherhood becomes even more uniquely diverse, taking on new backgrounds, cultures, and ways of life. We are very proud of this diversity and it is one of the main strengths of our fraternity.
But that is only one part. It is not enough to simply increase the types of people, approaches, and experiences within our brotherhood. We must also ensure every brother is given equal opportunity to participate fully within Zeta Psi and that he feels comfortable and encouraged in doing so. Through this, we can all work towards constantly developing personally as individuals, and improve our brotherhood and communities.
To guide our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Zeta Psi Fraternity has adopted the following definitions:
- Diversity refers to the types of people within the Circle, which in this context includes but is not limited to age, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith (or lack of), geography, and mental and physical ability.
- Equity refers to each member having the access to all privileges of brotherhood.
- Inclusion refers to every brother feeling welcome to participate in the brotherhood.
Zeta Psi is an international and multi-identity mosaic, which are qualities that align with the Fraternity’s mission and guide its growth.
