This month, we’re proud to highlight Brother Matlock Grossman from the Gamma Epsilon Chapter at Georgetown University, who was recently awarded the prestigious Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service.
Matlock, an International Security and Diplomacy student, was drawn to this scholarship because of its emphasis on public service. His background in transportation planning and environmental policy inspired his interest in government and influenced his decision to attend Georgetown. This past summer, he worked at the State Department, further solidifying his commitment to a career in public service.
For Matlock, the scholarship opens doors to new opportunities, including unpaid internships, by reducing financial barriers. He’s especially excited about planning his work-travel experience for next summer and encourages other sophomores passionate about public service to apply for the scholarship next year.
Brother Grossman is happy to offer guidance to fellow Zetes interested in the application process. You can reach him at matlockgrossman@gmail.com.
