ZeteCon18 Recap: Gold Chapter Awards

Throughout the course of Convention, Zeta Psi presents its members with a number of different awards spanning several categories recognizing individuals and groups alike. Our Gold Chapter Awards recognize groups that best embody the ideal chapter standards as determined by Zeta Psi’s Awards Committee. These chapters are campus leaders in philanthropy, academics, community involvement, risk management, and so many other areas that make a chapter great. Read below for a brief overview of what these chapters accomplished this past year:
Alpha Psi (McGill University)
In 2017-18, the Alpha Psi chapter at McGill University led a clothing and food drive with enormous on-campus Greek support, initiated 19 new members, and their ritual program is exemplary. Some quick facts about the Alpha Psi chapter’s performance this past year:
- 19 new members for the year
- Large participation in campus honor programs
- Ran a clothing and food drive with participation from several Greek houses on campus
- Full ritual at every meeting
- Multiple Gold Escutcheon recipients this year
- Diversified recruitment across multiple faculties
Phi (New York University):
In 2017-18, the Phi chapter at New York University initiated 28 new members, and continued to be leaders in all facets of campus life. The chapter raised over $40,000 during the school year. Some quick facts about the Alpha Psi chapter’s performance this past year:
- 28 New Members
- Chapter participation is at an all-time high
- Excellent young elder network in the NYC area
- Fantastic philanthropy program – raised over $40,000
Rho Alpha (MIT):
In 2017-18, the Rho Alpha chapter at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology held three positions on the IFC Executive board, maintained stellar academic performance, and are supported by one of the finest elder associations in Zeta Psi. This is the second consecutive Gold Chapter award for the Rho Alpha chapter.
- GPA exceeds the all-men’s campus average
- 14 new members this past year
- Strong ritual program
- 3 Zetes on the local IFC Board
- Great Elder communications program
