2018 Founders Day Recap

This past Saturday, June 2nd, was the 7th Annual NYC Founders Day Banquet. Hosted by the NYC RAC, and attended by over 70 Brothers and guests, representing more than 20 different Zeta Psi Chapters, the event was held at the Princeton Club on W. 43 Street.
Socializing with familiar and new friends is always one of the high points of the evening, but in addition we were graced with the presence and moving words of Brother Tom Jewett, Psi, 1963 as the guest of honor. Tom became the 17th inductee into the NYC Circle of Honor, and he was ably introduced by fellow Psi Brother, Tom Roerden.
Former Phi Alpha, Barth Gillan, in his remarks, noted that, “Gatherings such as this, with Brothers of Zeta Psi, of all ages, from all chapters, truly represents the spirit of Zeta Psi.” He drew a parallel between this banquet and the recent 10th Anniversary banquet, in London, for the Iota Omicron chapter at Oxford. Where a similar cross-representation of Brothers from many different chapters, celebrated our success at Oxford.
We also had our first “Great Bagel Challenge, NYC vs. Montreal”, which Montreal won. Next year, the New Yorkers will be looking for revenge!

November 18, 2018, the NYC RAC will host its 8th Annual Holiday dinner. To be held (for the first time) at Lincoln Square Steakhouse, located at 208 W. 70th Street.
