Welcome to Ithaca from the Psi Elders

Welcome to Ithaca! The Psi of Zeta Psi Elders Association is very excited to host you at this year’s 171st Convention. 2018 is an important year for us as our chapter celebrates its Sesquicentennial at Cornell University. 150 years ago marked not just the founding of our chapter, but as Cornell’s first and foremost fraternity we are proud to say the founding of the fraternity system at Cornell as well. In this spirit, we look forward to sharing our college town with you in August.

While some of you may be more familiar with Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region, we would like to take this moment to provide a few highlights, especially for those who only remember Ithaca from the 2000 movie Road Trip. The Finger Lakes region is home to some of the world’s finest wines and is especially known for white wines like Riesling and Gewurztraminer. For those of you who prefer beer, you might be interested in Ithaca Brewery located a few minutes away from downtown Ithaca. Upstate New York is also a world famous apple producing region, and where better to get some fresh produce than the Ithaca Farmers’ Market or Cornell Orchards (located just off campus). The Ithaca commons are definitely worth a stop as well, a pedestrian only corridor home to various unique stores and restaurants. Finally, a trip to Ithaca wouldn’t be complete without stopping by a few of our many gorges, a few of which are even on Cornell’s campus.

We hope this helps provide a brief overview of what to look forward to. Between now and then, we invite you to reach out and meet some of our board members if you have any questions about our chapter or Ithaca. The Psi Elder Association can be reached through the contact page on our official website.
